Food Pantry LAX
Food Pantry LAX has a long history, spanning more than two decades of service since opening at the Westchester Christian Church in 1985. The founding sponsors were the ministers of the Westchester Ladera Clergy Association.

Several years later the Pantry moved to a room at Bieber Lighting Corp. on the corner of Olive and Hindry streets in Inglewood. In 2003, 9746 cients were served groceries.

Unfortunately, in June of 2004, that building was sold and the Pantry had to move out. Supplies and equipment were stored at Covenant Presbyterian Church and in various people's garages.

After a fifteen-month hiatus, in October of 2005, Holy Faith Episcopal Church, in Inglewood, offered the use of their facilities to resume distributing food. The Pantry distributed groceries there one day a week until, in 2007, they finally found a new home at 355 E. Beach Street in Inglewood.

The Food Pantry LAX is now serving groceries on Tuesdays and Fridays to more than 150 clients. That number is increasing rapidly in today's difficult economic times.
